Senior Care Worker
Senior Care Worker – Various locations within Glasgow –
Salary Range £21,840 – £24,044 (£11.20/hr to £12.33/hr)
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care: bathing, washing, showering, and preparing meals within a client’s own home.
- Administer medication *supporting clients to access the community i.e shopping and social activities
- Oversee and monitor other care workers within your team *liaise with other professional staff in carrying out care plans
- Take responsibility for the shift while on duty
- Participate in on-call duties, taking calls and organizing care using our call monitoring system
Essential Information
Should have background experience in health and social care
- Holds an SVQ2, HNC in Health and social care, or is working towards the qualification, qualification, or equivalent
- Nursing diploma or other relevant training
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- A driving license and car are essential.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- Successful applicants will be required to complete a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application and register with the Scottish Social Services
- Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.
Tasks
Senior Care workers should be able:
- To look after the physical, emotional, cultural, and social needs of the Clients using a person-centred approach
- To observe and promote the Client’s human rights and the principles outlined in the health and social care standards
- To evidence that care is based on dignity and respect choice, compassion well-being and responsive to their changing needs
- To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends, and the wider agencies
- To actively support and oversee other Care Workers to ensure a high level of care is maintained, maintaining records and reviews.
- To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and Potters Health Care’s policies, procedures and guideline
